Stacking Strawberries

Ok, so they aren’t really strawberries but it is strawberry cake. When I asked my daughter what kind of cake she wanted for her birthday this year, she replied, “Strawberry, of course. Oh and can you make the cake look like a strawberry?” I said that I would try. So here we are with two strawberry shaped, strawberry cakes with strawberry icing…

“The Boss” of this order wanted there to be “seeds” and “leaves” too. So I went to work. I rolled out green fondant icing and cut leaves. I added some detail to make them look “real”.

Then I added chocolate chips for the seeds. “The Boss” is happy with the outcome…

I have to say that I am pretty pleased too!

Peppermint Bark

Nothing says your in the holiday season like peppermint. Candy canes, mint cocoa, and peppermint bark are some of the yummiest things for a cold winter day.

With milk or dark chocolate on the bottom, creamy white chocolate in the middle, and bits of peppermint candy crushed on top, how can you go wrong? Sweet and satisfying, for sure.

Angel Food

Angel Food cake is one of my favorites. In fact, it is my birthday cake. I love it. It’s light and goes well with fruit and cream or chocolate fondue.

The chocolate angel food is just as light. There is a hint of cocoa for a different take on the traditional vanilla angel food.

Shoo Fly Cake

If you have Pennsylvania Dutch in your family, you know what Shoo Fly pie is. The gooey molasses pie is really unforgettable. The cake is a spin off of the pie. It is still super moist but not as gooey and messy as the pie.

Same yummy molasses flavor and crumbly topping.

A Fall comfort food at it’s best!

MEOW!

This Cat and Mouse were such fun to make. The customer wanted the cake to be chocolate with cream cheese icing. She also requested that the icing be tinted to gray and decorate it with tabby-like markings. Oh, and don’t forget the green eyes!

The little mouse in the corner is a white cupcake with vanilla icing tinted pink. Her (soon-to-be)one year old daughter is going to enjoy that all by herself. Happy Birthday, Little A. I hope you have a great day.

Strawberry Cake

Strawberry Cake with strawberry icing. This is a super sweet and moist cake. I made this one in a bundt and topped it with the icing.

My oldest daughter requests this every year for her birthday cake. Strawberries are her favorite and this cake is full of strawberry flavor.

Going Bananas!

This cake made me happy while I was making it. The smell of bananas filled the air and even made my son ask for a piece after his nap! Banana cake with banana icing.

This is a very moist, light cake. It can also be frosted with vanilla or cream cheese icing if you would rather not have all the banana flavor.

I was also very happy to make this cake because it was for a very special friend of mine. He turned two (obviously) today and his mama wanted him to have a cake that was going to be just like him. Sweet and a little fruity. I’m just kidding. He happens to LOVE bananas and I could picture him getting very messy but loving this cake while I was baking it. I hope you had a wonderful day today, Mr. P!

White Chocolate

This cake is so yummy and surprisingly light. Three layers of white chocolate cake with raspberry filling and white chocolate icing.

The raspberry filling adds a light fruity flavor to the cake. I also decorated with white chocolate curls.
